Modelling AAC on the

Path to Self-Determination

Erin Sheldon is an Assistive Technology Consultant in Kingston, Ontario and presents internationally.  She is the mother of a grade 9 student with Angelman Syndrome.  Erin earned her M.Ed degree at Queen’s University studying literacy development in students with significant disabilities.  Whether your student is in a regular classroom or a special education setting, whether they are emergent to AAC or developing strong literacy skills, this workshop will give you new ideas about how to incorporate AAC use into all your instruction, with the end goal of fostering language and cognitive growth.
